Archimandrite Job (Bandmann) was consecrated as Bishop of Stuttgart

In the Znamensky Cathedral of New York, solemn services were held in honor of the patronal feast of the temple – the Root Kursk Icon of the Mother of God. The celebrations were traditionally held at the end of a meeting of the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Russian Church Abroad, the ROCOR website writes.

During the Liturgy, the consecration of Archimandrite Job (Bandman), a resident of the monastery of St. Job of Pochaevsky (Germany) as Bishop of Stuttgart, Vicar of the Berlin and German Diocese.

Despite a weekday, numerous believers from different states gathered for the celebrations, prayed in front of the shrines and received the Holy Mysteries of Christ.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Hilarion addressed the newly-ordained Bishop Job with a welcoming speech.
