The project of the Phanar in Ukraine has got one more strike. On December 13, 2021, the “bishops’ council” of the UOC-KP was held in Kyiv, headed by “patriarch” Filaret Denisenko. As reported on the official website of the Kyiv Patriarchate, another diocese of Greek Old Calendarists asked to join Filaret’s structure.

“To accept Chrysostomos (Kallis), with the parishes and clergymen who belong to his diocese in the Old Calendarists Church, in the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kyiv Patriarchate, according to his request,” the message says.

Earlier, on October 23, 2021, the UOC-KP accepted the diocese of Avxentius Marines, which was also part of the schismatic Greek Church of the Old Calendarists.
