When Ruslan Stefanchuk was proposed to the post of speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, we wrote that the OCU propagandists were inspired by this fact, since they saw in him the “second Parubiy”.
A number of recent events demonstrate that this is the case. Stefanchuk found himself in the pool of those who lobby for the interests of the OCU and the UGCC.
Firstly, this is evidenced by the meeting of the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada with the heads of the UGCC and the OCU on the issue of “improving” the law on chaplaincy.
Secondly, this is Stefanchuk’s request to recognize the Greek Catholic leader Andrei Sheptytsky as “righteous among the peoples of the world”, expressed during his meeting with Israel’s ambassador to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky.
