An attempt to legalize the Macedonian schismatics may be a deliberate part of the strategy of the Patriarchate of Constantinople and the Roman Catholic Church. This assumption was made by blogger Alexander Voznesensky.
“Moving towards union, both structures are interested in the fact that after the conclusion of this, the Orthodox world would be in a state of discord and deep crisis, and could not give a united response to such aggression of Catholicism on the one hand and the betrayal of the Church on the part of the Patriarchate of Constantinople on the other. Therefore, I fully admit that the legalization of schismatics in Ukraine and the possible legalization of Macedonian schismatics are a well-thought-out strategy of the above-mentioned structures with the aim of bringing Orthodoxy into a state of deep crisis before the conclusion of the union,” he wrote.
Earlier it was reported that the Bigorian monks sang and received communion at the liturgy in Athens, served by Bishop Philotheus of Oreus, vicar of the Archbishop of Athens and all Hellas Jerome. In addition, the Bigor monks allegedly participated in another liturgy, which was attended by the hierarch of the Jerusalem Patriarchate.
