On December 02, 2021, in the church of Saints Equal-to-the-Apostles Constantine and Helena of the UOC-KP in the city of Odessa, “Bishop” Nikon Grablyuk performed the “monastic tonsure” of Sergiy Chekalenko. This was reported on the Facebook page of the Odessa diocese of the Kyiv Patriarchate.

As previously reported, one of the “bishops” of the restored UOC-KP, Ilya Zelensky, appointed to the Kharkiv region, was unexpectedly lost: the “hierarch” died on September 6, 2021.

Also in the “Kyiv Patriarchate” the secretary of the vicariate of the UOC-KP in the USA Bohdan Zgoba was tonsured as a monk.
