A new Ukrainian Orthodox parish has opened in the suburbs of Lisbon

With the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Onufriy and in agreement with Archbishop Nestor of Madrid and Lisbon, a new Ukrainian Orthodox parish began to operate in the suburbs of Lisbon, writes the DECR UOC.

In particular, on Sunday 28 November 2021, the first Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the town of Vala do Carregado in the temple building at Estr. do Bairro, Vala do Carregado, Igreja de Nossa Senhora de Fatima. The newly created community is handled by an employee of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC, priest Vitaly Gorzov.
