On November 26, 2021, the Head of the Synodal Department of the UOC for Healthcare and Pastoral Care of Medical Institutions, Metropolitan of Lviv and Galician Filaret and member of the Public Council from the UOC, Archpriest Oleksiy Godun, took part in a meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on cooperation with the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations , which took place This was reported by the Information and Educational Department of the UOC.

The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Public Council Sergey Ubogov. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine and the head of the working group on the introduction of chaplaincy in the health sector Irina Mikichak, Director General of the Directorate of Medical Services Oleksandra Mashkevich, members of the Public Council and representatives of confessions and religious organizations of Ukraine.

The meeting discussed a number of issues regarding countering the COVID-19 pandemic, the role of Churches and religious organizations in this, and access of the population to medical services.
