The Jerusalem Patriarchate condemned the atrocities committed by Jewish radicals under the protection of the Israeli army on the lands belonging to the monastery of St. Sava the Sanctified, writes “Pravlife”.
As emphasized in the message, the protection and preservation of church property, especially given the growing ambitions of radicals to seize it, is a priority for the Primate of the Jerusalem Orthodox Church.
“The ongoing attempts to attack the church lands are under the constant personal supervision of His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilos III of the Holy City of Jerusalem and all Palestine. Efforts are being made at all legal and diplomatic levels to stop and prevent these attacks,” said Priest Issa Musleh, spokesman for the Patriarchate.
According to Israeli media reports, a group of Jewish settlers recently staged riots in the West Bank and Jerusalem. Their peak fell on November 21, 2021. The radicals threw stones at Palestinian cars, attacked citizens and their property.
