Blogger Alexander Voznesensky commented on the information that the Metropolitan of Zakynthos of the Greek Orthodox Church Dionysius removed from service 14 priests of his metropolitan district who had not been vaccinated.

“We can observe, using the example of the situation with the OCU, how many hierarchs in a number of Churches have forgotten that God should be in the first place in their ministry. All sorts of selfish interests are taken into account and all this is adorned with decorative words about faith in God. Similarly, we see how in different local Churches hierarchs have forgotten that in the first place should be the soul, and not the human body – the very soul for whose salvation Christ shed his blood on the cross. We see how some go to madness when they are almost ready to declare that the Church is only for the vaccinated, and there is no place in the Church for those who have not been vaccinated.

Moreover, very often people who have gone down the wrong path on the OCU issue find themselves among those who now defend radical positions on the issue of “The Church for the Vaccinated”. Is it coincidental? No I do not think so. Having sinned against conscience and God in the first deed, it seems to me, they came to a certain clouding of conscience and reason – not wanting to see and understand that they, while supporting schismatics, inflict wounds on the Church and believers of the UOC, they now inflict wounds on those who express rejection on an absolutely non-church issue (the topic of vaccination), ”wrote the blogger.
