The Holy Synod of the UOC appointed Bishop Pimen to govern the Rivne diocese

Bishop Pimen (Voyat) of Dubensky was appointed administrator of the Rivne diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. This was reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

“Due to the fact that His Grace Metropolitan Bartholomew of Rivne and Ostrog passed away to the Lord on September 15, 2021, His Grace Bishop Pimen of Dubensky was appointed the new administrator of the Rivne diocese, who had previously been vicar of the Rivne diocese,” the message says.

On March 14, 2018, by the decision of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Vladyka Pimen was elected Bishop of Dubensky, vicar of the Rivne diocese.

On March 23, 2018, in the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Kiev Theological Academy, he was named a bishop.

On March 25 of the same year, at the Refectory Church of St. Anthony and Theodosius of the Caves of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, his episcopal consecration took place, which was performed by: Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Onufry (Berezovsky), Metropolitan of Vyshgorod and Chernobyl Paul (Lebed) and Metropolitan of Boryspil Pakanich), Metropolitan of Tulchin and Bratslav Jonathan (Yeletskikh), Metropolitan of Rivne and Ostrog Bartholomew (Vashchuk), Archbishop Panteleimon of Buchansk (Baschuk), Archbishop of Uman and Zvenigorod Panteleimon (Lugovoi) Snigiryov), Archbishop of Nezhinsky and Priluksky Clement (Supper), Bishop of Borodyansky Barsanuphius (Joiner), Bishop Damian of Fastov (Davydov), Bishop of Gostomel Tikhon (Sofiychuk), Bishop of Baryshevsky Stoke (Kotsaba) Bishop of Serbia (Anitsa).

As previously reported, on November 16, 2021, at the residence of the Primate of the UOC on the territory of the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, a regular meeting of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church took place, which was held in a remote format.
