Patriarch Bartholomew postponed visit to Athos due to coronavirus outbreak

Patriarch Bartholomew postponed a planned visit to Mount Athos due to the outbreak of coronavirus in monasteries on Mount Athos, Facts writes.

He will continue his visit to Athens from 20 to 25 November.

The head of the Phanar visits Greece as part of events organized in Athens at the invitation of the Greek Church.

Earlier it was reported that the information campaign launched by media close to Phanar indirectly indicates the possibility of a new attack on Esfigmen. It focuses on the accusations of Esfigmen’s brethren of opposing vaccination and the demand to cleanse Athos of monks opposed to the Patriarchate of Constantinople.
