Primate of the UOC consecrated the medical center at the monastery in Bancheny

On October 18, 2021, Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Onufry performed the rite of consecration of the St. Luke Clinic medical center at the Holy Ascension Monastery in Bancheny. This was reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

Metropolitan Pavel of Vyshgorod and Chernobyl, Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary, Metropolitan of Chernivtsi and Bukovyna Meletiy, Metropolitan of Banchensky Longin, Archbishop of Khotyn Benjamin, Episcopal Bishop Benjamin Bishop , clergy and believers.

“I sincerely congratulate all of you, dear fathers, brothers and sisters on this significant day, when we consecrated and opened this hospital to help people,” the Primate said.

The Lord created man with a soul and a body. For the soul, the hospital is the temple of God. And for the body, it happens that other hospitals are needed – like the one we have consecrated today. Where can a person come and restore that harmony in his body, which we violate with our sins.

I want to wish all the doctors, all the nurses, all the workers of this hospital the help of God. You know that to be a doctor is like a priest, you need to have great patience, humility and be able to sacrifice yourself. I want to thank Vladyka Longinus for creating such beauty in this difficult time and for doing it so that people can use this goodness. ”

The Primate also expressed gratitude to the benefactors who helped build the clinic, called upon them to bless them and wished them “not to need hospitals”.
