With the assistance of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Istanbul and the Union of Ukrainians of Izmir, the first time, a liturgy will be held in the Orthodox Church of St. Fotinia in the Ukrainian language, writes Ukrinform.
October 16 at 10.00 in the church of St. Fotinia (Izmir), especially for the Ukrainian-speaking parish, the liturgy in Ukrainian will be served by Fr. Jacob Krochak, the great protossinkell of the Patriarchate of Constantinople.
“This is a great opportunity to remember our Ukrainian roots and cultural heritage! We are waiting for everyone,” reads the announcement of the event.
