The Administrator of the UOC believes that vaccination should be voluntary

The Church does not prohibit vaccination, however, limitation of human rights and freedoms due to lack of vaccination is unacceptable. Metropolitan Anthony (Pakanich), head of the UOC, said this in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“Participation or non-participation in this process should be the result of an independent decision of each of us. At the same time, the main thing in this whole matter is the observance of the principle of voluntariness and the absence of restrictions on the rights of those who, due to objective reasons, refused to be vaccinated,” said Metropolitan Anthony.

The Administrator of the UOC pointed to the fact that it is important for every Christian to understand exactly what substances are included in a particular medicine.

“If a vaccine contains cell lines from aborted babies, this should become a severe barrier to vaccination with the appropriate drug. Moreover, now there is a choice as to which vaccine to be vaccinated with,” lord Anthony emphasized.
