The spokesman for the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, Metropolitan Timothy of Thessaliotis and Fanariofersala, said during a press conference that he did not know whether the issue of restrictions on visiting churches would be discussed at the Synod, informs orthodoxianewsagency.
“I don’t know if this issue will be discussed tomorrow. We will wait. If it is delivered, it will be discussed, but we can neither prohibit visiting, nor divide people in temples. They must be careful, take care of themselves and the people around them, who also church and pray, but we have no right, respecting human freedom, to demand who and what will do in the church, we cannot stick labels on people, but we will discuss all this on The Holy Synod…” answered the Metropolitan.
Regarding the compulsory vaccination for priests, the press secretary of the Holy Synod replied that this issue is not on tomorrow’s agenda, but if this happens, the Holy Synod will discuss this topic as well.
