As previously reported, on September 5, 2021, in the ancient Montenegrin town of Cetinje, the enthronement of the newly elected head of the Metropolis of the SOC in Montenegro, lord Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral, took place.

After the enthronement, Metropolitan Joanikije announced that representatives of the Holy Churches of God, who were prevented from arriving in Cetinje, had come to the enthronement ceremony together with the Serbian Patriarch and the bishops of the SOC. Distinguished guests from the Local Churches stayed in Podgorica and prayed at the Liturgy in the Church of the Resurrection of Christ.

These were representatives of the Jerusalem Patriarchate, of the ROC, the UOC, the ROCOR, the Bulgarian, Albanian, Polish Churches, the Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia.
