On September 6, 2021, with the blessing of the Primate of the UOC, Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Onuphry, the delegation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church met with the Primate of the Albanian Orthodox Church, Archbishop Anastassy of Tirana and All Albania.

Metropolitan Anthony (Pakanich), head of the UOC, announced this on Facebook.

The meeting from the Ukrainian side was also attended by Metropolitan Sergiy of Ternopil and Kremenets, Deputy Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich, resident of the Holy Spiritual Skete of Pochaev Lavra Archimandrite Germogen (Melnik), employee of the DECR of the UOC Priest Vasily Pryts.

From the Albanian side, the meeting was attended by Metropolitan Anthony of Elbasan, Metropolitan Nathanael of Amantius, Bishop Astius of Vilid, and employees of the Archdiocese.

At the beginning of the meeting, Metropolitan Anthony presented Archbishop Anastassy with the translation of his book “Mission in the Footsteps of Christ”, which was made by the efforts of the Kiev Theological Academy. Then a fraternal conversation took place in a warm atmosphere on topical topics of church life.
