The Church is about faith in God, not the Ministry of Finance: the cleric of the Russian Orthodox Church moved to the theological academy of the OCU

Hieromonk Timofey (Yasenitsky), doctor of church history, vice-rector for scientific work of the Kolomna Theological Seminary of the Russian Orthodox Church, moved to the Kiev Orthodox Theological Academy of the OCU, writes Tserkvach. The transition of the cleric to the schismatics was commented on by the blogger Alexander Voznesensky, who wrote that “there is simply no faith there.”

“The reason for Timofey’s emigration (repatriation, he was born there) was the recent reform of the Moscow Regional Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church,” wrote the Telegram-channel, explaining the actions of the cleric by the fact that he was left “without means of subsistence.”

Blogger Alexander Voznesensky commented on the cleric’s act: “The Church is, first of all, not a university where scientists decide everything, this is not the Ministry of Finance, where the presence of intelligent economists solves many problems, the Church is primarily about faith in God, and if a person I am ready to leave the Church for the sake of finances, it means that there is simply no faith there”.
