Monks from the Athonite monasteries Pantokratoros and Xenophontos visited the ex-metropolitan of the UOC, now the head of one of the Vinnitsa dioceses of the OCU Simeon Shostatsky. This is reported by the website of the Vinnitsa-Barsk diocese of the OCU.
The Athonites left the corresponding record in the book of honored guests, thanking Simeon Shostatsky for “standing at the origins of the creation of the OCU and going through great difficulties along the way”.
“We came from Sacred Athos from the monasteries of Pantokratoros and Xenophontos, and we feel that this is God’s providence, God created the Church of Ukraine and stopped the schism that sharpened the faithful. On Holy Athos we pray for peace, love and all the best for the Church of Ukraine,” wrote Archimandrite Gabriel, Abbot of the Pantokratoros monastery, Hieromonk Luke, Hieromonk Nikita and Hierodeacon Theodosius.
Earlier, the delegation visited Alexander Drabinko and Epiphany Dumenko.
