The head of the OCU “Metropolitan” Epiphany Dumenko on August 25, 2021, met at his residence with several monks from Mount Athos. This was reported on the OCU website.

The delegation included representatives of several monasteries of Athos, who supported the Phanar’s intervention in the Ukrainian church issue. Those were the abbot of the monastery Pantokratoros Gabriel and the hieromonk Luke, an icon painter from the monastery of Xenophontos, who wrote the text of the Tomos of the OCU on parchment.

Also, Hieromonk Nikita, known for his active defense of the positions of Patriarch Bartholomew, came to the meeting.

Earlier, the delegation visited the “diocese” of ex-metropolitan of the UOC Alexander Drabinko.
