The Serbian Orthodox Church received from the Montenegrin government an amended text of the basic agreement, which the representatives of the SOC are to sign with the Montenegrin state. Serbian Patriarch Porfiry informed the Prime Minister of Montenegro Zdravko Krivokapic about this on August 11, writes Regnum.

The SOC commission will familiarize itself with the amended text of the agreement, which will formulate its expert opinion, but already at the end of the vacation season, according to a letter from Patriarch Porfiry Zdravko Krivokapich.

According to the Serbian Patriarchate, the Montenegrin government has made a large number of changes to the text of the basic agreement, which has already been approved, agreed by the parties and is ready for signing in May.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Montenegro said that the text of the basic agreement with the Serbian Orthodox Church has been drawn up, and his government is awaiting a response from the SOC.

Recall that the basic agreement between the TWS and the Montenegrin state was ready for signing on May 27. Nevertheless, Prime Minister Krivokapic, who flew to Belgrade to sign the document, said at the last moment that the text of the agreement needs to be adjusted.
