The “Montenegrin Church” opposed the enthronement of Metropolitan Ioanniky in Cetinje

“Bishop” of the unrecognized “Montenegrin Orthodox Church” Boris “politely urges” the Serbian Patriarch not to hold the ceremony of enthronement of Metropolitan Ioannikiy of Montenegro and Primorsky in Cetinje.

“In the name of the love and peace of Christ,” he asks to cancel the event scheduled for September 4 with the words “do it anywhere, but not in Cetinje”.

There is reason to believe that on the same day the basic agreement of Podgorica with the TWS will be signed, which has already been thwarted by the Prime Minister of Montenegro several times.

All this causes great concern among representatives of a local NGO called the Montenegrin Orthodox Church, which has been operating in the country since 2000 and has recently been increasingly speaking out against the SOC, heating up the already difficult internal political situation. “In the name of the love and peace of Christ,” of course.
