Patriarch of Jerusalem declined the invitation of the head of the Church of Constantinople

On August 13, events dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the ordination of Patriarch Bartholomew to deacon are to take place on the Turkish island of Imbros.

The corresponding invitations on behalf of the head of the Phanar were sent to the leaders of the Churches of Greece, Alexandria and Cyprus, as well as the leader of the “OCU”. The Primate of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem received an offer to attend the celebrations orally.

According to Romfea, Patriarch Theophilus declined the mentioned invitation of Patriarch Bartholomew, citing the situation with the pandemic.

Also, Archbishop Jerome and Archbishop Chrysostom will not come to Imbros. They will send their representatives.

Thus, Patriarch Bartholomew will meet the memorable date only surrounded by the Patriarch of Alexandria and the head of the OCU.

Considering that the phanariots love to talk about the self-isolation of the Russian Orthodox Church, a natural question arises – maybe Phanar himself ended up in self-isolation?

After all, celebrating a holiday in the company of only one head of the Local Church and the head of a schismatic organization is a real shame for the one who thinks of himself as the ruler of all world Orthodoxy…
