Exarch of the Phanar in Ukraine celebrated the Liturgy at St. Andrew’s Church

The exarch of the Patriarch of Constantinople to Ukraine, Bishop of Koman Mykhailo (Anishchenko), on Sunday, August 1, led the liturgy in the upper church of the Phanar`s stauropegium – St. Andrew’s Church. This was reported by the “Spiritual Front of Ukraine“.

Bishop Michael was co-served by Theodosius Lyakhovich, a resident of the St. Nectariy Eginsky from Diocese of the OCU in Pereyaslav and Vyshneve Vikentiy Kozak.

This is the first service after the signing of an agreement between the mission of the Patriarchate of Constantinople and the National Reserve “Sophia of Kyiv” on the free permanent use of St. Andrew’s Church.

Currently, services are held in the church according to two calendars: in the upper, restored St. Andrew’s Church, services are held in the Julian style, and in the lower chapel – according to the New Julian style.
