Pilgrims from Georgia took part in the celebration of the Day of the Baptism of Rus and visit the shrines of Ukraine

To participate in the celebration of the Day of the Baptism of Rus on July 27-28, 2021 and the pilgrimage to the shrines of Ukraine, with the blessing of His Holiness and Beatitude Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II, a pilgrimage group from Georgia arrived in Ukraine. The Pilgrimage Center of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church receives guests and accompanies the route. This was reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

On July 27-28, the pilgrims took part in the Procession of the Cross, the festive Liturgy in the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, bowed to the saints in the caves, and visited the center of Kiev with its churches.

On July 29, pilgrims visited the ancient Pechersk and its monasteries: Ioninsky and Vvedensky; monasteries in Kitaevo, Goloseevo, Feofaniya.

Pilgrims from Georgia also visited the Dormition Pochaev Lavra. The Georgian guests stayed there for three days, taking part in divine services.
