At the congress of monasticism in the Holy Dormition Pochaev Lavra, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church adopted an appeal to the authorities about anti-church laws on renaming the Church, violating the constitution and the operation of laws that infringe on the rights of the UOC. This was announced in an interview with NTN by the governor of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan of Vyshgorod and Chernobyl Pavel (Lebed).
“We have adopted an appeal to the president and the authorities in order to put an end to the atrocities that often arise against the holy canonical Church,” said Metropolitan Paul.
Earlier, the speaker of the UOC, Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich, explained to the “critics” how the congress of Ukrainian monasticism worked in Pochaev.
