Speaker of the OCU “Archbishop” Yevstratiy Zorya, discussing the topic of prohibiting the chaplains of the UOC from serving in the army, said that ” will help the aggressor”, reported the RP.
“I have a simple example for this topic. How many chaplains of the MPVU in Crimea resisted the Russian occupation and spiritually supported the Ukrainian units during the Russian invasion? I don’t know ANYONE. How many of the same chaplains supported the Russian aggression? Numerous cases are known, with the awarding then “with the assistance” of medals and certificates. So – the Church of the MPVU has shown by a living example that in the event of an open Russian war, the chaplains from it will obviously not support the Ukrainian military in the fight against the aggressor and it is very likely that they will help him, “the” archbishop” said.
Obviously, the representative of the OCU forgot how in 2014 he boasted about the “security certificate” he received from Strelkov in Crimea for the UOC-KP, which then included Zorya. As reported, the schismatics of the UOC-KP after the referendum in Crimea appealed to Aksenov about the right to serve in Crimea. Aksyonov, through Strelkov, issued them a “security certificate”. Zorya himself spoke about this in Canada on May 10, 2014.
