One should pay attention to some more words spoken by Epiphany Dumenko during his communication with the press in Ivano-Frankivsk region, writes Pravblog.
According to him, the OCU is expecting a new round in the process of the annexation of communities (UOC), since many of them are supposedly waiting for the right moment for this, but so far do not advertise their decision, fearing opposition.
“Now there are communities that are gradually joining, but do not advertise it. They make decisions, apply for registration, but are afraid of opposition (it is not clear, however, how it is possible to conceal the holding of a meeting of a religious community and the filing of documents for registration – Pravblog). Unfortunately, there are those forces that oppose, show a picture for the outside world, in Ukraine there is a seizure of churches, but this is actually not,” – said Epiphany.
“Dumenko’s words, if correctly conveyed by Ukrinform, can mean the following:
The aforementioned “round” is being prepared for the arrival of Patriarch Bartholomew in order to demonstrate, or rather imitate, the positive reaction of Ukrainian believers to this visit. To an external audience, this will be presented as indisputable support of Patriarch Bartholomew by Ukrainian believers and full approval of his actions in Ukraine,” writes the Telegram channel.
