On June 27, 2021, All Saints’ Week, Metropolitan Volodymyr-Volynskiy and Kovelskiy Volodymyr took part in the consecration of the main church of the monastery in honor of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos in Suprasl (Poland). The rite of consecration was headed by Metropolitan Savva of Warsaw and All Poland, co-served by the hierarchs and clergy of the Polish, Georgian and Ukrainian Orthodox Churches. This was reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

Before the beginning of the consecration, the Primate of the Polish Orthodox Church addressed the audience with an archpastoral word: “We have been waiting for this moment for a very long time. <…> From the first days of my priestly service in the Bialystok-Gdansk diocese, I drew attention to the need to restore the Church of the Annunciation of the Most Holy Theotokos, realizing the irreparable damage caused by his absence.”

The event was attended by representatives of the central and local authorities.
