The Russian Orthodox Church commented on the fake about the compulsory vaccination of the priesthood

In recent days, false rumors have begun to circulate about the intentions of the ROC hierarchy to demand compulsory vaccinations from clergy and staff of Moscow parishes. This information does not correspond to reality, Bishop Savva (Tutunov) of Zelenograd, Vicar of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, wrote in his Telegram channel.

“I can quite officially say that there are no such intentions.

Certain questions will arise only from the heads of legal structures established by religious organizations if these legal structures (for example, shops) fall under the regulations of the city authorities.

Unofficially and personally on my own, I consider it correct to add that I consider vaccination to be useful and desirable. <…> But everyone decides for himself,” wrote Bishop Sawa.
