As the Council of Bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church approaches, scheduled for November 2021, its agenda is gradually becoming clear. Thus, a document is being prepared with an assessment of the new ecclesiology of the Patriarchate of Constantinople. This issue was discussed at a meeting of the plenum of the Synodal Biblical and Theological Commission (SBBC), writes the Khrisma Center.
Commenting on the message, “Pravblog” writes: “This news indicates that our Church is carrying out systematic work on the appropriate strategic path. Earlier, some preparatory measures were taken, and now more and more actively the necessary problems are articulated in the public sphere.
Let’s hope that the upcoming council will become the starting point for the official fixation of the Phanar’s departure from Orthodoxy.”
