The Churcher Telegram channel noticed an interesting pattern: the organizers of Polish events invite the head of the OCU Epiphany or the head of the UOC-KP Filaret to them “in turn, so as not to offend anyone.”
So, on June 23, in addition to the head of the UGCC Svyatoslav (Shevchuk), representatives of the RCC and religious scholars, Filaret was invited to the presentation of the publications “John Paul II to Central-Eastern Europe” and “John Paul II. Memory and Identity”. Epiphanius was not invited. On June 10, Epiphanius was not in the metropolitan gardens – he met with the Vice-Marshal of the Seimas of Poland Malgorzata Gosewska on June 11.
“There is an impression that among these or those organizers (at least those associated with Poland) there is some kind of agreement, and Epiphany and Filaret are deliberately invited in turn so as not to offend anyone,” the Telegram channel suggested.
