The hierarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan of Luhansk and Alchevsk Mitrofan (Yurchuk) passed away. This was informed on Facebook by the hierarch of the UOC, Bishop Victor (Kotsaba).
“Sad news came from the Luhansk region. At the 59th year of his life, Metropolitan Mitrofan of Lugansk and Alchevsk, chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC, a permanent member of the Holy Synod, passed away. Kingdom of Heaven and eternal rest!”, Bishop Victor announced the loss.
