The Russian Orthodox Church told what is expected from the meeting between Putin and Biden

The Russian Orthodox Church hopes that the summit of the US Presidents Joe Biden and the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, scheduled for June 16 in Geneva, will confirm the preservation of the achieved “fragile balance”, which rests primarily on relations between major players. This was stated by the chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Hilarion, Vesti writes.

Metropolitan Hilarion stressed the importance of maintaining peace throughout the world. And it is important to preserve the “fragile balance” achieved today, which rests primarily on relations between major players.

“If these balances are maintained, if countries are able to preserve their interests, but at the same time not destroy world peace, then this will probably be the most important thing that can be achieved at the upcoming meeting of the two presidents, and at subsequent negotiations,” – said Metropolitan Hilarion.
