The court began to consider the claim of the priest of the UOC in the village Sadov in Volyn regarding the illegal eviction of his family from the church house

On June 1, 2021, a preparatory hearing of the Lutsk City District Court was held on the claim of the priest of the Volyn diocese of the UOC Volodymyr Meles to the OCU parish in the village of Sadov, Volyn region, who is trying to evict his family from the church house. This was reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

The priest asks the court to overturn the decision of the state registrar to re-register the ownership of his apartment building to the “OCU” community. At the request of Father Vladimir, the court decided to demand copies of household books for a residential building from the village council. The court requires a copy of the registration file from the private notary Natalya Kurta, on the basis of which, on May 15, 2020, she, having the powers of a state registrar, re-registered the house.

Head of Sadov Ivan Shendyukh and “priest” of the local community “OCU” Nazar Partyka were summoned to the court session as witnesses.

“These documents and witnesses should just confirm the legality or illegality of the actions of the state registrar when registering the ownership of a residential building for the OCU community,” the Volyn diocese notes.
