The representative office of the UOC to European international organizations published a statement on some issues of the situation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the context of international law and OSCE standards.
“Representation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in European international organizations, responding to the ongoing violations of the rights of Orthodox Christians in Ukraine, namely: the continuous seizure of churches, the commission of serious criminal offenses against the believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, blocking the registration of statutes and restricting the constitutional rights of religious organizations of the UOC by the law on forced renaming, distribution of the rhetoric of hatred in the media against the clergy and laity of the UOC, – draws the attention of the international community and considers it necessary to clarify some of the positions of the UOC on issues discussed at the international legal and national level, ” document.
