Patriarch Bartholomew is increasingly saying things that do not correspond to reality, said the chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, writes Patriarchia.ru

Often the arguments used by Patriarch Bartholomew literally grab the ears, the hierarch emphasized: “Either he is not competent in the issues that he is discussing, or he is telling deliberate lies. Or, maybe the advisers provide him with false information.”

“Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople made a very big mistake by granting autocephaly to schismatics in Ukraine, and now he is looking for arguments to justify his lawless and anti-canonical deed,” said Metropolitan Hilarion.
