Former Metropolitan of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Ukraine Oleksandr (Drabinko) believes that ecumenical dialogue with the Roman Catholic Church should be conducted by all Local Orthodox Churches. Drabinko spoke about this in his report “The Ecumenical Concept of the UGCC – Orthodox Reflection,” which he published on Facebook.

He states that the ecumenical conception of the UGCC lacks an awareness of the unity of the universal Orthodox Church as a subject of dialogue.

Drabinko added that the dialogue should be conducted at all levels and with the involvement of the widest possible range of local Orthodox churches, especially the first Orthodox throne – Constantinople.
