The general assembly of the vicariate of Orthodox parishes of the Russian tradition, formed in the Greek Metropolis of France (Church of Constantinople), will be held on July 3, 2021 in Paris, according to La Lettre du Vicariat.
According to the statutes of the vicariate, the mandate of the delegates is two years.
In addition to traditional administrative and financial issues, the 2021 Assembly will analyze the quarantine period, its crisis, health issues at the parish level and at the level of the vicariate. Also, participants will be able to evaluate various initiatives that have arisen and developed, in particular, thanks to social networks.
The parish rectors will receive the invitation in early June.
As reported, the vicariate was formed by the parishes of the Western European Archdiocese, which refused to move along with the entire structure to the ROC in accordance with the decision of the General Assembly in September 2019. About a third of the parishes of the Archdiocese remained in the Constantinople Church.
