On May 2, 2021, on the day of the Bright Resurrection of Christ, His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kiev and All Ukraine Onufriy received congratulations on Easter at the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, according to the Information and Educational Department of the UOC.

His Beatitude Vladyka was congratulated on Easter by the inhabitants of the Kiev-Pechersk monastery, headed by the governor, the rector, teachers and students of the Kiev theological schools. Traditionally, the Primate’s congratulations took place in the Holy Cross Church of the Lavra.

The first to greet His Beatitude was Metropolitan Vyshgorodsky and Chernobylsky Pavel, on behalf of all the brethren of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.

The Rector of Kiev Theological Schools, Bishop Belogorodskiy Sylvester, thanked the Primate for his constant prayers, advice, guidance and support and presented the Primate with a bouquet of flowers and an Easter cake.

His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry thanked for the congratulations, also congratulated the flock on the Bright Resurrection of Christ and handed out Easter gifts accompanied by the singing of Easter hymns by the choirs of Kiev theological schools.

On Easter night, the Primate performed a solemn divine service at the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.
