The legal service of the UOC-KP plans to restore previously existing religious organizations – diocesan administrations – after the renewal of the registration of the “Kyiv Patriarchate”. In case it is difficult to do so, Filaret will register new dioceses. The lawyer of the «Kyiv Patriarchate» Neonila Tkachenko reported this on Facebook.

“As for the protection of dioceses. I understand the complexity of the situation, because the bishops of the UOC-KP are in such a position that it is difficult for them to revive the activities of dioceses. The diocesan administrations have certain difficulties, since an order was adopted to terminate the charter on the administration of the UOC-KP, and this document is main in their activities, it regulated the order of relationships. This document disappeared as a result of the decision of the Ministry of Culture, and the court did not give any assessment to this decision.

I am inclined to believe that next year we will carry out fruitful work to renew the statutes of those dioceses that existed, we will preserve dioceses where possible. Moreover, where this is not possible, where dioceses have been illegally re-registered, where we will not find such cases and we will not find who is guilty, we will register new dioceses. But I hope that the Regional State Administration has kept the registration files and there will be no crime,” the legal department of the UOC-KP suggests.
