The OCU is working to “unify” church traditions and “returns those that were once taken from Kiev by Russia,” said the head of the structure, Epiphany Dumenko, writes “Ukrinform”.
Answering the question that liturgical singing, the appearance of hierarchs, etc. are based on the “Moscow tradition,” the head of the OCU noted: “Not everything is based. Why? If we talk about the Russian tradition, then this is to a certain extent a Ukrainian tradition, which was taken at one time from Kiev.”
In this regard, he clarified: “If we talk about Russian traditions, then you also need to know history, these were at one time stolen Ukrainian good traditions.”
