The Supreme Court of Ukraine accepted Filaret’s claim

The Supreme Court of Ukraine accepted several claims of the Kyiv Patriarchate. This was announced by the head of the legal service of Filaret Neonila Tkachenko on her Facebook page.

It is noted that the “patriarch” will get the opportunity to give personal testimony in court.

According to Tkachenko, the head of the State Service for Ethnopolitics and Freedom of Conscience, Olena Bogdan, “bluffs” and “objects to the restoration of state registration of the Kyiv Patriarchate,” and the evidence of this “is currently in court, but will be made public” so that everyone can assess how “reality is being hypocritically and illegally distorted.”

“For the first time in the history of Ukraine, the Primate of the Church personally decided to go to the Supreme Court and expose the illegal actions of a state body. The courts have begun to be very careful about the cases of the Kyiv Patriarchate, because they feel personal responsibility,” comments Neonila Tkachenko.

In addition, the first precedent was created in court when they turned to a specialist in canon law for advice: theologian Dmytro Stepovyk prepares his assessment of the Tomos for the OCU.
