“Archbishop” of Kharkov and Izyum Afanasy turned out to be the head of a farm registered at the address of the diocesan administration of the OCU, writes the Telegram channel “Churcher”.
“We learned that Vladimir Mikhailovich Shkurupiy, Archbishop Athanasius of Kharkov and Izyum, is also a farmer. He heads the FG “Cherneshchyna”, registered simply at the address of the diocesan administration of the Kharkiv-Poltava diocese in the village. Shkurupievka Reshetilovsky district of Poltava region, where Vladyka was born. The farm grows cereals, legumes, and oilseeds (of course, this is the main, but not the only type of activity).
By the way, according to Slidstvo.info, Archbishop Afanasy personally has a small house in Shkurupievka and three plots of land in Reshetilovsky district with a total area of 9 hectares. Not every hierarch has so much native land in private ownership. In the OCU, even, one might say, no one: only Archbishop Onufriy Khavruk and Metropolitan Alexander Drabinko have more than 1 hectare, but in terms of the total area of land plots (2.7363 hectares and 1.1002 hectares) they are still far from Bishop Athanasius,” writes Telegram-channel.
