Patriarch Kirill approved the ban on the ministry of two bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church

Patriarch Kirill approved the decisions of the Supreme Church-wide Court on the prohibition of Bishop Ignatiy (Tarasov) and Bishop Ignatiy (Buzin) in the ministry, writes the Press Service of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus.

The Supreme Church-wide Court found both bishops guilty of committing ecclesiastical offenses and sentenced them to a ban on ministry.

His Holiness Patriarch Kirill approved these decisions of the Supreme Church-wide Court and issued decrees defining the places of stay of bishops banned from ministry. According to the decrees, bishop Ignatiy (Tarasov) is supposed to stay at the Epiphany Monastery of the city of Chelyabinsk, the Chelyabinsk Diocese, under the supervision of metropolitan of Chelyabinsk and Miass, bishop Ignatiy (Buzin) – at the Holy Trinity Pavlo-Obnorsky Monastery of the Vologda Diocese under the supervision of the metropolitan of Vologda and Kirillovsky.
