The head of the DECR ROC met with the Ambassador of Slovakia to the Russian Federation

On April 6, 2021, the chairman of the Department for external church relations of the Moscow Patriarchate, metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the Russian Federation, Lubomir Regak, reports mospat.ru.

The conversation was also attended by the representative of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia under the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Archimandrite Seraphim (Shemyatovsky) and an employee of the DECR Secretariat for Far Abroad Affairs, Priest Andrei Titushkin.

The diplomat thanked the hierarch for the opportunity to meet and assured the interlocutor of his intention to develop contacts with the Russian Church.

Lord Hilarion told the head of the Slovak diplomatic mission in Moscow about the good relations between the ROC and the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, they discussed the church problem in Ukraine.
