“The National Interest”, an American conservative magazine on international politics, published material on the assessment of the political situation in Ukraine. It mentions, among other things, the problems associated with the religious sphere:
“The religious policy of the state also introduces a split and is aimed at providing advantages for the OCU, created in 2018 by the efforts of Poroshenko and Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople. At the same time, pressure is exerted on the UOC – the largest of the Ukrainian confessions – to the point of indulging in aggressive seizures of churches, as well as beating up its priests and parishioners.”
