The community of the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker from Philadelphia (USA) asked the OCU and, in particular, its head Epiphany Dumenko, with a request to stop slandering “patriarch” Filaret, in whose subordination this parish remained. This is reported on the official website of the UOC-KP.

“Realize, finally, that His Holiness Filaret is the third Patriarch of Ukraine, but not the last. There will be the 4th, 5th and 25th Patriarchs. And if there is no place for him in Ukraine, he will find him in the United States along with all those whom you are persecuting without guilt. The Kyiv Patriarchate was, is and will be the bearer of the patriarchal status of the Ukrainian people, and you, would-be leaders, if you don’t cling to your spiritual father, will receive the condemnation of your descendants,” warn the supporters of the UOC-KP in the USA.

“If you don’t know how to love your mentors, then take the example of our rector, father Bohdan, who is sincere, caring and still consults on many issues with his predecessor, hather John, who has been rector of our church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker for more than 40 years. He is still enjoying great authority and respect,” the statement reads.
