The reps of Ternopil eparchy of the UAOC published materials from the criminal case against the “Archbishop” of the OCU Tikhon Petranyuk, the administrator of the Ternopil-Buchansk Diocese of the OCU (at the time of the fraud – the UOC-KP).
According to the website, the “bishop” was accused of large-scale fraud – he fraudulently seized funds in the amount of $ 100,000 in the Luhansk region in 2010.
In December 2010, by the decision of the Synod of the UOC-KP, Petranyuk was released from the leadership of the Luhansk diocese. The Synod of the UOC-KP not only dismissed Petranyuk from the post of ruling bishop in Lugansk, but banned him from serving “until complete and sincere repentance.”
After the incident, the “hierarch” disappeared for several years, after which he “surfaced” in the OCU.
