Believers of the UOC will personally hand over signatures in defense of their rights to the Office of the President

1,060,238 citizens of Ukraine signed letters and appeals to the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers and other institutions regarding discriminatory laws and the escalation of religious conflicts that were provoked by these laws, UOC repots.

This was announced by Metropolitan Kliment of Nezhinsky and Prilutsky at a press conference of the UOC dedicated to the appeal of the UOC believers to power.

Vladyka recalled that back in December last year, the Holy Synod of the UOC, on behalf of the entire episcopate, priests and laity, appealed to the authorities, but received no response.

For this reason, believers “took matters into their own hands,” and letters and appeals were prepared for all dioceses of the UOC in order to draw the attention of the authorities to the facts of discrimination of the UOC and violation of the Constitution of Ukraine due to the adoption of anti-church laws.

Today believers of the UOC will come to the President’s Office to personally hand over boxes of petitions, since the authorities did not respond to petitions sent by mail.
